Καὶ εἶπεν Ἠλιού, ζηλῶν ἐζήλωκα τῷ Κυρίῳ παντοκράτορι, ὅτι ἐγκατέλιπον τὴν διαθήκην σου οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήριά σου καθεῖλαν, καὶ τοὺς προφήτας σου ἀπέκτειναν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ, καὶ ὑπολέλειμμαι ἐγὼ μονώτατος, καὶ ζητοῦσι τὴν ψυχήν μου λαβεῖν αὐτήν.

And Elijah said, I have been zealous for the Lord Almighty, because the sons of Israel forsook your covenant, they tore down your altars, and they killed your prophets with the sword. I alone have been left, and they seek to take my soul.
