1 Maccabees 3:45

καὶ Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἦν ἀοίκητος ὡς ἔρημος· οὐκ ἦν ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος καὶ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐκ τῶν γενημάτων αὐτῆς· καὶ τὸ ἁγίασμα καταπατούμενον, καὶ υἱοὶ ἀλλογενῶν ἐν τῇ ἄκρᾳ, κατάλυμα ἐν τοῖε ἔθνεσιν· καὶ ἐξήρθη τέρψις ἐξ Ἰακώβ, καὶ ἐξέλειπεν αὐλὸς καὶ κινύρα.

And Jerusalem was uninhabited and desolate; there was no one entering or going out among its offspring, and the sanctuary was being trampled, and sons of foreigners were in the citadel, a lodging among the nations, and delight was removed from Jacob, and the flute and lyre ceased.
