Καὶ ὑμεῖς σήμερον ἐξουδενήκατε τὸν Θεόν, ὃς αὐτός ἐστιν ὑμῶν σωτὴρ ἐκ πάντων τῶν κακῶν ὑμῶν καὶ θλίψεων ὑμῶν· καὶ εἴπατε, οὐχί, ἀλλʼ ἢ ὅτι βασιλέα καταστήσεις ἐφʼ ἡμῶν· καὶ νῦν κατάστητε ἐνώπιον Κυρίου κατὰ τὰ σκῆπτρα ὑμῶν καὶ κατὰ τὰς φυλὰς ὑμῶν.

And you today have rejected the God who himself is your savior from all your evils and your afflictions, and you said, Not so, but you will appoint a king over us, and now stand before the Lord according to your scepters and according to your tribes.
