Καὶ Ἀβεσσαλὼμ ἔφυγε, καὶ ἐπορεύθη, πρὸς Θολμὶ υἱὸν Ἐμιοὺδ βασιλέα Γεδσοὺρ εἰς γῆν Χαμααχάδ· καὶ ἐπένθησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Δαυὶδ ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας.
