Καὶ τὸν Ἀμεσσαῒ κατέστησεν Ἀβεσσαλὼμ ἀντὶ Ἰωὰβ ἐπὶ τῆς δυνάμεως. Καὶ Ἀμεσσαῒ υἱὸς ἀνδρὸς, καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Ἰεθὲρ ὁ Ἰεζραηλίτης· οὗτος εἰσῆλθε πρὸς Ἀβιγαίαν θυγατέρα Νάας ἀδελφὴν Σαρουίας μητρὸς Ἰωάβ.

And Absalom appointed Amasa instead of Joab over the force. And Amasa was the son of a man, and his name was Jether the Jezreelite; this man went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, the sister of Zeruiah the mother of Joab.
