↵ 2 Samuel 20 Καὶ εἰσῆλθε Δαυὶδ εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ εἰς Ἱερουσαλήμ· καὶ ἔλαβεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὰς δέκα γυναῖκας τὰς παλλακὰς αὐτοῦ, ἃς ἀφῆκε φυλάσσειν τὸν οἶκον, καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὰς ἐν οἴκῳ φυλακῆς, καὶ διέθρεψεν αὐτὰς, καὶ πρὸς αὐτὰς οὐκ εἰσῆλθε· καὶ ἦσαν συνεχόμεναι ἕως ἡμέρας θανάτου αὐτῶν χῆραι ζῶσαι.

And David entered his house in Jerusalem, and the king took his ten concubines, whom he had left to guard the house, and he put them in a house under guard, and he provided for them, but he did not go in to them, and they remained confined until the day of their death as living widows.
