Καὶ ἔλαβε Ῥεσφὰ θυγάτηρ Ἁϊᾶ τὸν σάκκον, καὶ ἔπηξεν αὐτῇ πρὸς τὴν πέτραν ἐν ἀρχῇ θερισμοῦ κριθῶν, ἕως ἔσταξεν ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς ὕδωρ ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ· καὶ οὐκ ἔδωκε τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καταπαῦσαι ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς ἡμέρας, καὶ τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ νυκτός.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took the sackcloth and pitched it toward the rock at the beginning of the barley harvest, until water dripped upon them from heaven, and she did not allow the birds of heaven to rest upon them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
