Καὶ οὐ διέλιπον οἱ ἐμβάλλοντες αὐτοὺς ὑπηρέται τοῦ βασιλέως καίοντες τὴν κάμινον. καὶ ἡνίκα ἐνεβάλοσαν τοὺς τρεῖς εἰς ἅπαξ εἰς τὴν κάμινον, καὶ ἡ κάμινος ἦν διάπυρος κατὰ τὴν θερμασίαν αὐτῆς ἑπταπλασίως· καὶ ὅτε αὐτοὺς ἐνεβάλοσαν, οἱ μὲν ἐμβάλλοντες αὐτοὺς ἦσαν ὑπεράνω αὐτῶν, οἱ δὲ ὑπέκαιον ὑποκάτωθεν αὐτῶν νάφθαν καὶ στιππύον καὶ πίσσαν καὶ κληματίδα.

And the king's assistants did not cease throwing them in, burning the furnace. And when they cast the three at once into the furnace, and the furnace was blazing according to its heat sevenfold, and when they cast them in, those throwing them in were above them, but others burned naphtha and tow and pitch and vine twigs from underneath them.
