↵ Daniel 6 καὶ λυπούμενος ὁ βασιλεὺς εἶπεν ῥιφῆναι τὸν Δανιὴλ εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων, κατὰ τὸν ὁρισμὸν ὃν ἔστησε κατʼ αὐτοῦ. τότε ὁ βασιλεὺς σφόδρα ἐλυπήθη ἐπὶ τῷ Δανιὴλ, καὶ ἐβοήθει τοῦ ἐξελέσθαι αὐτὸν ἕως δυσμῶν ἡλίου ἀπὸ τῶν χειρῶν τῶν σατραπῶν,

And grieving, the king said that Daniel should be thrown into the pit of the lions, according to the decree which he had set up against him. Then the king was exceedingly grieved over Daniel, and he was trying to deliver him until the setting of the sun from the hands of the satraps.
