Καὶ καταναλώσει Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου τὰ ἔθνη ταῦτα ἀπὸ προσώπου σου κατὰ μικρὸν μικρόν· οὐ δυνήσῃ ἐξαναλῶσαι αὐτοὺς τοτάχος, ἵνα μὴ γένηται ἡ γῆ ἔρημος, καὶ πληθυνθῇ ἐπὶ σὲ τὰ θηρία τὰ ἄγρια.

And the Lord your God will consume these nations from before you little by little; you will not be able to consume them quickly, so that the land does not become desolate, and the wild beasts multiply against you.
