Διότι τριπλαῖ ἦσαν, καὶ στύλους οὐκ εἶχον καθὼς οἱ στύλοι τῶν ἐξωτέρων· διατοῦτο ἐξείχοντο τῶν ὑποκάτωθεν καὶ τῶν μέσων ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.

Because they were triple, and they had no pillars like the outer pillars, therefore they projected from the underneath and middle from the earth.
