Καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Σεχενίας υἱὸς Ἰεὴλ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ἠλὰμ, καὶ εἶπε τῷ Ἔσδρᾳ, ἡμεῖς ἠσυνθετήσαμεν τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν, καὶ ἐκαθίσαμεν γυναῖκας ἀλλοτρίας ἀπὸ τῶν λαῶν τῆς γῆς· καὶ νῦν ἐστιν ὑπομονὴ τῷ Ἰσραὴλ ἐπὶ τούτῳ.

And Sechenias son of Jeiel, from the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra, We have broken faith with our God and have taken foreign wives from the peoples of the earth, and now there is hope for Israel in spite of this.
