ἵνα ἐπισκέψηται ἐν βίβλῳ ὑπομνηματισμοῦ τῶν πατέρων σου, καὶ εὑρήσεις, καὶ γνώσῃ, ὅτι ἡ πόλις ἐκείνη πόλις ἀποστάτις, καὶ κακοποιοῦσα βασιλεῖς καὶ χώρας, καὶ φυγαδείαι δούλων γίνονται ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ ἡμερῶν αἰῶνος, διὰ ταῦτα ἡ πόλις αὕτη ἠρημώθη.
