Ἰωσὴφ δὲ δέκα καὶ ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν ἦν, ποιμαίνων τὰ πρόβατα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ, ὢν νέος, μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Βαλλᾶς, καὶ μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ζελφᾶς, τῶν γυναικῶν τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ· κατήνεγκαν δὲ Ἰωσὴφ ψόγον πονηρὸν πρὸς Ἰσραὴλ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν.

Joseph was seventeen years old and was shepherding his father's sheep with his brothers, being young, with the sons of Bilhah and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives, and Joseph brought an evil report about them to Israel their father.
