Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς· καὶ ἐπεπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ· καὶ ἐπῇρε τὴν κιβωτὸν, καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
