Τοίνυν αἰχμάλωτος ὁ λαός μου ἐγενήθη, διὰ τὸ μὴ εἰδέναι αὐτοὺς τὸν Κύριον· καὶ πλῆθος ἐγενήθη νεκρῶν, διὰ λιμὸν καὶ δίψος ὕδατος.

Therefore my people became captive because they did not know the Lord, and a multitude became dead through famine and thirst for water.
