Καὶ εἶπε πρὸς αὐτὸν Γεδεὼν, ἐν ἐμοὶ, Κύριέ μου· καὶ εἰ ἔστι Κύριος μεθʼ ἡμῶν, εἰς τί εὗρεν ἡμᾶς τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα; καὶ ποῦ ἐστι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ, ἃ διηγήσαντο ἡμῖν οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν, λέγοντες, μὴ οὐχὶ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἀνήγαγεν ἡμᾶς Κύριος; καὶ νῦν ἐξέῤῥιψεν ἡμᾶς καὶ ἔδωκεν ἡμᾶς ἐν χειρὶ Μαδίαμ.

And Gideon said to him, I beg you, my Lord, if the Lord is with us, why have these evils found us? And where are all his wonders which our fathers recounted to us, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? And now he has cast us out and given us into the hand of Midian.
