Καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρὸς Γεδεὼν, πολὺς ὁ λαὸς ὁ μετὰ σοῦ, ὥστε μὴ παραδοῦναί με τὴν Μαδιὰμ ἐν χειρὶ αὐτῶν, μὴ ποτε καυχήσηται Ἰσραὴλ ἐπʼ ἐμὲ, λέγων, ἡ χείρ μου ἔσωσέ με.

And the Lord said to Gideon, The people with you are too many, so that I will not deliver Midian into their hand, lest Israel boast against me, saying, My own hand has saved me.
