Ἀνέβη λέων ἐκ τῆς μάνδρας αὐτοῦ, ἐξολοθρεύων ἔθνη ἐξῇρε, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ, τοῦ θεῖναι τὴν γῆν εἰς ἐρήμωσιν· καὶ αἱ πόλεις καθαιρεθήσονται, παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι αὐτάς.

A lion has gone up from his lair, destroying nations he has driven them out, and he has gone forth from his place to make the land a desolation, and the cities will be overthrown so that they will not be inhabited.
