Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἱερεμίας, οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος, ἐὰν ἐξελθὼν ἐξέλθῃς πρὸς ἡγεμόνας βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος, ζήσεται ἡ ψυχή σου, καὶ ἡ πόλις αὕτη οὐ μὴ κατακαυθῇ ἐν πυρὶ, καὶ ζήσῃ σὺ καὶ ἡ οἰκία σου.

And Jeremiah said to him, thus said the Lord, if you go out to the leaders of the king of Babylon, your soul will live, and this city will not be burned in fire, and you and your house will live.
