ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσει ἕως οὗ ἀπαρνήσῃ με τρίς.

Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your soul for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times.
