Καὶ ἐλάλησε Μωυσῆς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ· καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν ῥάβδον· τῷ ἄρχοντι τῷ ἑνὶ ῥάβδον κατ ἄρχοντα, κατ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν, δώδεκα ῥάβδους· καὶ ἡ ῥάβδος Ἀαρὼν ἀναμέσον τῶν ῥάβδων αὐτῶν.
