Ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀπολέσητε τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν, καὶ ἔσται οὓς ἐὰν καταλίπητε ἐξ αὐτῶν, σκόλοπες ἐν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς ὑμῶν, καὶ βολίδες ἐν ταῖς πλευραῖς ὑμῶν, καὶ ἐχθρεύσουσιν ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἐφ ἣν ὑμεῖς κατοικήσετε.

If you do not destroy the inhabitants upon the earth from before your face, then those whom you leave of them will be thorns in your eyes and arrows in your sides, and they will be enemies to you upon the earth upon which you will dwell.
