Οὐκ ἦν ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ πλὴν δύο πλάκες λίθιναι, πλάκες τῆς διαθήκης ἃς ἔθηκε Μωυσῆς ἐν Χωρὴβ, ἃς διέθετο Κύριος μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου.

There was nothing in the ark except two stone tablets, tablets of the covenant which Moses placed in Horeb, which the Lord made with the sons of Israel when they went out from the land of Egypt.
