καὶ ἐπέγνω ἡ παρεμβολὴ Τιμοθέου ὅτι ὁ Μακκαβαός ἐστιν, καὶ ἔφυγον ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτοὺς πληγῇ μεγάλῃ· καὶ ἔπεσον ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ εἰς ὀκτακισχιλίους ἄνδρας.
