↵ Daniel 6 τότε Δανιὴλ ἐρρίφη εἰς τὸν λάκκον τῶν λεόντων, καὶ ἠνέχθη λίθος καὶ ἐτέθη εἰς τὸ στόμα τοῦ λάκκου, καὶ ἐσφραγίσατο ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐν τῷ δακτυλίῳ ἑαυτοῦ καὶ ἐν τοῖς δακτυλίοις τῶν μεγιστάνων αὐτοῦ, ὅπως μὴ ἀπʼ αὐτῶν ἀρθῇ ὁ Δανιὴλ ἢ ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτὸν ἀνασπάσῃ ἐκ τοῦ λάκκου.

Then Daniel was cast into the pit of the lions, and a stone was brought and placed at the mouth of the pit, and the king sealed it with his own ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel might not be lifted out by them or the king rescue him from the pit.
