Ὑπέστρεψε δὲ Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κύριον, καὶ εἶπε, δέομαι, κύριε· ἡμάρτηκεν ὁ λαὸς οὗτος ἁμαρτίαν μεγάλην, καὶ ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς θεοὺς χρυσοῦς.

Moses returned to the Lord and said, I beg you, Lord, this people has sinned a great sin, and they have made for themselves golden gods.
