Διὰ τοῦτο εἰπὸν, Τάδε λέγει Κύριος, ὃν τρόπον τὸ ξύλον τῆς ἀμπέλου ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις τοῦ δρυμοῦ ὃ δέδωκα αὐτὸ πυρὶ εἰς ἀνάλωσιν, οὕτως δέδωκα τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ἰερουσαλήμ.

Because of this I said, These things says the Lord: in the manner that I have given the wood of the vine among the woods of the forest to fire for consumption, thus I have given the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
