Καὶ οὐκ ἐμαχέσαντο αὐτοῖς οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ, ὅτι ὤμοσαν αὐτοῖς πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες Κύριον τὸν Θεὸν Ἰσραήλ· καὶ διεγόγγυσαν πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγὴ ἐπὶ τοῖς ἄρχουσι.

And the sons of Israel did not fight them, because all the rulers swore to them by the Lord, the God of Israel, and all the congregation grumbled against the rulers.
